Matt Oppenheimer is the Co-Founder & CEO at Remitly. Before Remitly, Oppenheimer spent nearly two years at Barclays, including 11 months as the head of mobile and internet banking initiatives at Barclays Bank, Kenya. After seeing firsthand how difficult it can be to send money overseas, he co-founded Remitly in Seattle in 2011. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and was named EY Entrepreneur of the Year in 2016 in the Pacific Northwest and has been honored as a Puget Sound Business Journal 40 Under 40 for his work with Remitly.
