Purushottam Khanal is currently the Chairman of the Nepal Telecommunications Authority. He has served NTA for two decades in various capacities and was Senior Director before the appointment as a Chairman. Before NTA, Khanal had served various governmental organizations, like the Rising Nepal and National Computer Center. As a regulator, he has been leading the sector for the proliferation of ICT. He has long working experience in the license, consumer affairs, tariff determination, administration, finance, and legal matters. He has also led the Backbone infrastructure and Broadband project of Nepal for the development and expansion of broadband in rural areas.
